In this part of the manual I show a number of typical examples of Drum Buffer and Rope applications. The examples as such are not so essential. The discussion however on how to apply the 5 steps on those examples is very essential. Try to discuss the examples when applicable in your day to day situation. That's the reason I developed them.

Example 1 relates to a situation where a non-constraint resource works in process batches of 50.

Example 2 has to do with the effect of decreasing set up times on non-constraint resources.

Example 3 has to do with the effect of decreasing Operating times on non-constraint resources.

Example 4 deals with the effect of local striving for local efficiencies.

Example 5 shows the effect of saving set ups on constraint resources.

Example 6 scratches the surface a little on how to handle problems when you have a constraint feeding a constraint

Example 7 discusses the existence of interactive constraints.
