Any process, whereby we have more than one operation (e.g. receiving raw materials or a production process or a distribution organization or the total organization of a company) can be expressed as shown in the next figure.
For most of the workshop we have taken the example of a production process.

However I would like to emphasize, that implementing the five steps of the Money Making Machine is not only limited for a production process. It can be used for any situation where you have a sequence of operations. For example:

  • looking at the complete activity of a company (sequence of operation : research - development - manufacturing -warehouse - customer)
  • looking at a distribution organization (sequence of operation : production - central warehouse - pick stock - depot - customer)
That is why in the above example I left the time unit out. For production processes it might be seconds or minutes, for an organization weeks or months (?).
